BULLDOG NEWS is a full service Newsstand and Espresso bar located on “the Ave” in the University District of Seattle since 1983.

The NEWSSTAND selection of about 2500 titles has been developed largely by acting on the suggestions of our wonderful eclectic bunch of customers. They all know what they want and we try to give it to them. Besides all the well-known periodicals we have many of the ‘hard-to-find’ and large selections of local publications, domestic publications, international press and alternative press. Our soccer selection is unusually good due to Matthew, our lead news agent and avid Hotspurs fan.

The ESPRESSO BAR opens at 6:30 AM, serving to the sidewalk as well as inside. In 1999 we became the first espresso bar in Seattle to offer exclusively Fair Trade certified coffee in all our coffee drinks. Our coffee, purchased from Equal Exchange, a worker-owned cooperative is shade-grown and 100% organic. We also feature organic teas, freshly-squeezed lemonade and pastries from the Essential Baking Company.
